
This country ham was a gift from relatives. We opened it the day before Easter to have a look at it...this is what it looks like. I googled country hams and it seems mold is not unusual in the process and can/should be scraped off before soaking and cooking.
We are afraid. My son says this looks like those pictures you see of people's legs who have extreme frostbite.
Maybe we are more a fresh ham family....
